Does anyone have any advice on how to boost or help my 3 year olds immune system?

She started nursery last September and pretty much had a cold or virus the entire time. Then during lockdown... nothing! Not even a sniffle.

Now she is back at pre school, she's been there 2 weeks and is so poorly again. Cold, temperature etc.

I know it's really common for little ones to go through this in their early years whilst building up their immune systems but is there anything I can do to help her?

She has a healthy balanced diet. She has a gummy vitamin each morning. We practice the importance of hand washing. I feel so sorry for her. Thanks

Thanks for replying. I think you're right. We just have to ride it out while they're little and hope it means less sickness as they get older 🤞🏼

Yeah same, it was relentless whilst at nursery - and we got it too! As long as she shakes off the infections then you just have to soldier on! If she struggles to shake them off, or gets the same infection repeatedly (eg tonsillitis) id speak to the Gp. Good luck, my second starts nursery soon and I’m dreading it!! X

@Gettingonabitnow thanks! No repeats as you've mentioned (thank god). Just colds and coughs that come with high temperatures and lack of appetite etc. Sounds to me like it's the norm so it's put my mind at ease, thank you. Good luck with nursery! X
