Once a day

Ohalrightthen · 25/09/2020 14:33

Pretty much every day at that age, the bath made her all sleepy and calm so it was part of bedtime.

TinySleepThief · 25/09/2020 14:36

Probably 2 or 3 times a week at that age. Unlike everyone else's baby who would be calm and relaxed the bath used to make mine very excitable and energetic, it still does to be fair. I only started bathing him every day at 6 months when he became mobile.

Twice a week from the time she was about a week old (no bath before) until now at 14 months.

Dexy2020 · 25/09/2020 15:24

Every other day at that age then bath every night from about 6 months old :) xx

Mylittlepony374 · 25/09/2020 15:48

Twice a week. Top and tail other days.

EggHead268 · 25/09/2020 16:07

I used to bath DS1 every single night until he was about 2, but he had reflux so was sick all the time and he also did nasty explosive poos!

DS2 however is not a sicky baby and could probably wear the same sleep suit and baby grow for 3 days before it got even a little bit dirty. He only gets a bath maybe twice a week.

BumpLoading · 26/09/2020 08:23

I dod mine every other day at that age, I started doing it everyday from about 6 months when I tried to get a bedtime routine going and as baby was so messy after feeding dinner he needed a good wash anyway.

Crystal87 · 26/09/2020 09:37

Every day. When they were newborn it was every couple of days, though more if there was sick or explosive poo.

Fatted · 26/09/2020 09:39

Mine were always hyper after a bath! No bedtime bath in our house! Its not good for their skin to bath every day either. I only started bathing them every day once they started weaning and feeding themselves.

Maryann1975 · 26/09/2020 09:42

Pretty much every day, they always loved the having a bath and it was something to do with them and we used to do baby massage afterwards.

As they got slightly older, it was far easier to bath them and to let it be a bit of a game, rather than trying to wash all the food And accumulated muck of them with a flannel.

GlennRheeismyfavourite · 26/09/2020 09:43

At that point she had a bath every morning- she seemed to enjoy it and it was something to do!!

jessstan2 · 26/09/2020 09:45

I don't understand what you mean: 'your baby's' what?

I used to bathe mine every day; my baby's clothes, sometimes sheet and towel, every day if that is what you mean.

Other things like my baby's toys, fairly often.

Caspianberg · 26/09/2020 17:36

Bath my 4 month old roughly twice per week.
We use reusable wipes with warm water at every change so he gets bum/ face/ neck/ hands done several times per day anyway.

He gets dry skin if bathed too often. The first 2 months he had to be fully oiled up after a bath and would still peel a day or two after.

This. Dd is almost 3 and is bathed 3 times a week unless she's very dirty. She gets SO excited it makes bed time harder.

You obviously know exactly what she means as you answered her Biscuit

At that age we bathed every day to help her sleep but have weaned her down to 2/3 times a week now she's not so dependent on the routine

I wasn't sure. I took the lead from what others said.
