If so, how much and from what sort of drinking vessel?

Mine are 5 & 7 and have a hot chocolate every night before bed 🙂

2.5yo has half a cup of milk in one of the small IKEA sippy cups.

No. They gave up bottles at about 14 months and although they all drank gallons of milk during the day they didn't have a bedtime drink. They did have dummies though, until about age 3.

No but has milk at tea / supper time which is about an hour and a half before bed

When we moved from bottle to beaker around 16 months he didn’t like it (though would drink water from a beaker) and for a couple of months didnt drink a lot of milk but then returned to it with a vengeance ! Drinks at breakfast and tea, sometimes snack time and has water the rest of the time (nearly 2.5 now)

DD had a bedtime bottle until the night before she turned 3. Then the bottle fairy came, etc. She also drank milk out of a cup with an integrated straw, or a sippy cup without the lid, so it was easy enough as she wasn't totally reliant on the bottle itself, just the milk. She still has milk every night before bed, and she's 6. She still has her favourite straw cup but also likes a "big girl mug" some nights!

DS is 2 and still has a tiny amount of milk in the morning, then a full 8oz before bed, both in a bottle. In no hurry to drop the evening one but the morning one can be a pain if we're running late, so trying to filter that one out slowly. I'm always looking for a similar straw cup but have never found one as good as DD's. I did ask if she would mind passing it down to DS soon and she was horrified!

Thanks for the tips everyone. DS has now gone a week or so without his bottle and he's absolutely fine. He just had it out on a cup and definitely doesn't drink as much as he used to but I think it must have been for comfort. Really useful advice so thanks!
