Was the first 12 weeks with your newborn as hard as you expected or worse? All I keep hearing is about sleep deprivation and how hard it will be. Although I know it will be hard is it really THAT hard?

My baby is 8 weeks old and I’m a FTM. I have found it so much easier and enjoyable than I expected. I had always heard how hard it all was and consequently decided not to have children. Thankfully fate had other plans and I’m really enjoying having a baby.

Hard but beautiful and go way too quickly. Film as much as you can. My second slept through the night from day one, so miracles do happen!

The tiredness was so hard for the first couple of weeks but I think we just got used to being tired so it didn't really bother us after. And newborns are so snuggly and sleepy through the day so you have lots of time to cuddle and put your feet up. There was one really bad night that I remember and DD was up from around 1 in the morning until around 8am, I think she was 2 weeks old roughly, it was hell. But other than that, it's just a blur now and I only really remember the cuddles and the good bits and she's 9 months now.

To add to my previous post, it's much harder now she's older. She's started having tantrums, pushing her bottle away, dropping food on the floor, she screams when she can't reach something and they're much harder to entertain🤣
