I am thinking of using re-usable nappies. Can any one give me any good web-sites so I can order them and get them delivered overseas.

Which kind are the best.

Have been thinking re the All in Ones.

Can these come in various colours and patterns.

I am a complete dohh on things like this

Thanks in advance for the advice

Defiitely try the nappy lady, and fill in their questionnaire for a tailormade service. They are excellent.

Can definately recommend The Nappy Lady (plus also Eco-Babes are good too).

As a note - I am (eventually!) getting around to selling my Motherease All-in-Ones - I have 18 size large (20-35lbs) which my sons have now grown out of. If they are of any interest to you then please get in touch! Hopefully soon I will get them on the classifieds so that I can clear some space in my house!

As a nappy type I can definately recommend them - they do a smaller size as well - not sure how old your child is. They are very easy to use & wash well. The only downside is that they take a while to dry.

Another nappylady supporter here and a totsbots user.
Check out the nappy threads karen, theres loads of help there

twinkleontheweb.co.uk is good - not sure if the post abroad though.

All in ones were useless for us (tried kushies). We prefer shaped ones with a good wrap over the top (tend to use motherease or popolini). Also go for some fleece liners (can make your own by cutting up fleece) - much easier to clean .

Also you can pick up second hand ones from the nappy forum on ukparents.co.uk.

Nappylady is excellent. Do the questionaire on the site. You will get back an INCREDIBLY detailed answer. Very impressive.

Another motherease user here. My only criticism is that ds (13 1/2 months), is already too pudgy for the one-size which is meant to fit up to potty training. And hes small for his age (although he has not a small tummy) so I don't really get this one. We spent around 200 pounds on the initial system.

Also they will probably become horribly stained unless you are organised and soak them.

But there is NOTHING worse than a big pile of stinking disposables in the dustbin. NOTHING.

Don't buy fleece liners. Go to IKEA or a haberdashery, buy some fleece, cut up into ooh, I think 25 by 10 cm rectangles depending on the size of the nappies. This also means you can get lovely rainbow fleece liners.

All in ones-I don't find them that easy tbh as they take so long to dry. But then we don't use a dryer unless dh does the wash unsupervised. I also don't find theyre as absorbant.

This is exactly where we were just over a year ago and it all seemed so daunting. Plus the expense. This is why the nappy lady is so good. After the questionnaire I realised that it is not rocket science at all. Also I think you get what you pay for to a large extent. We inherited various nappies from various sources and Motherease are far and away the best-by which I mean most absorbant.

MrsDoolittle · 18/10/2004 12:39

I wonder if you've tried totsbots merglemergle?

muddaofsuburbia · 18/10/2004 12:43

Agree MrsD - ye cannae beat a Totsbot when it comes to absorbing the equivalent of a small ocean

MrsDoolittle · 18/10/2004 12:45

How are you feeling now mudda? Congratulations by the way

karen01 · 18/10/2004 12:54

thanks all for your replies will look into it. drying nappies wont be a problem as we live in cyprus. will let you know how i get on. need to convince dh it is a good idea think the initial cost scares him
