First Christmas

This Christmas will be my sons first Christmas and he will be 11 months old. I have no idea what to get him. The only suggestions I have had is a baby walker but he already has one that has been passed down from family. I've already decided that I'm going to focus more on throwing him a party for his birthday the following month (if restrictions allow) so I'm just stuck on present ideas.

Any suggestions are appreciated! TIA :)

Wooden train, shape sorter, various size and texture balls, musical instruments, lift the flap books, stacking rings/cubes, a rocker, simple puzzles, pull along toys, teethers, wooden cars, soft doll, some first crayons & finger paints, a treasure basket with sensory items...a cardboard box! I like traditional toys and there are some lovely brands like Melissa & Doug, Le Toy Van, Djeco, Janod and Moulin Roty. Some things he may not use 'correctly' straight away, but good to get for the coming months.

Our baby will be 6 months and we're going to get him a toy box made with his name on for all the inevitable toys from everyone else!

Think of things that they will need in the summer once chirstmas and birthday are past. Do you have a garden? A sandpit or watertable could be a good bet. A tricycle so you don't have to carry him to the park as he gets bigger but don't need the buggy.

Books and puzzles are always a good shout. A water mat is good for practicing fine motor skills without a mess.

Presents when the baby is less than 1 would be more for everyone else's benefit! Don't worry too much about the present aspect, they will be more interested in the wrapping paper then the presents themselves. And won't remember the occasion other than via photos.
Babies need so much stuff we just wrapped up some toys when our boy was 3 months old!

Our baby will be 8months. I do t want to buy him lots of little bits as I am sure he will get some from family. I think we will order him a wooden pikler triangle climbing frame thing. Can be used indoors in winter, and take outside as spring and summer approaches. Should last several years.
