Hi, not sure if this already exists , forgive me if it does.
My almost two week old daughter has been diagnosed with reflux by the health visitor and we’ve been told to see a dr on Friday.
It’s been a rough week of symptoms slowly showing , and it makes nights very lonely .
I thought we could do with a support thread for other parents who’s children have it.
My LG symptoms are :
Arched back and crying/screaming after feeding
Fussy on/off breast
Frequent feeding in small amounts
Little sleep (at night)
Constant crying/screaming

My little one is 4 now, I moved her to solids from 4/6 months. Her symptoms were reflux, projectile vomit at times, screaming from 5pm-11pm. We had all the tests, monitoring at hospital. Very hard, eventually told nothing medically wrong and to just cuddle her and get ear plugs. Horrible time, for her and us. Felt utterly helpless.
Good luck, just remember it won’t last forever. Hopefully someone with a lo will be along soon xx

I've been there and come out the other end so want to offer some hope.

My baby was on Gaviscon from 3 weeks (it worked well and didn't cause constipation) and Lanzoperazole from 12 weeks. She had severe silent reflux and basically cried for the first 8 weeks, wouldn't be put down anywhere etc. It was a very bleak.

We weaned at 5 months and she was off all medication by 6 months. She is now 14 months and is a happy, delightful little girl. It WILL get better but it really is just a matter of time. Keep pushing for correct treatments from your GP. Mine was fab and took me seriously from day 1. We were referred to the Paediatrician at the 6 week check, no problem.
