Thumb sucking at night. Soothing v hunger?

Hi all if anyone can advise I'd appreciate it.

My 12 week old sleeps really well (thank all and any gods) and usually wakes for a feed at 3 and 6ish. However she doesn't cry just gets unssettked and thrashes about making uh uh uh noises. Been like this for weeks.

She recently started ducking her thumb. I now wake at 3 and 6 possibly out of habit, possibly from the noise of her absolutely going to town sucking on her thumb. She's still asleep though. I've dream fed her the last couple of nights, but now I'm wondering whether to leave her? Do you think it's hunger or soothing? She has her bedtime feed about 9:30/10 for 10-15 mins.

Not sure whether to continue with the feeding if it his hunger or to leave her to settle? She has never really cried when hungry even in the day, just gets ratty. In the day I feed her when she gets raty it roughly every hour and a half to 2 hours.

I’d leave her self-sooth at 3 And feed her at 6. I bet she is as cute as a button!

My ds sucks his thumb for soothing, and when he wakes at 6 and is actually hungry, you can tell the thumb sucking doesnt pacify him anymore and he needs milk.
I wouldn't pick your DD up to feed her unless it's clear she really wants it. She might not skip the 3am feed altogether , but might stretch out for an hour or 2 longer.

Thanks both! I'll try and resist the 3am feed and see how that goes tonight!
