potty training and plane trips

We are going to fly to Spain soon (2 hours) and dd is just out of nappies (from mid August). She's normally very good with wee but she is less reliable with poo. Sometimes she will only tell you that she needs the potty 2 miliseconds before the event, so I am pre-panicking a bit that she'll want to do a wee or a poo in mid flight and half way down the plane, and both loos will be in use or the drinks trolley will be blocking the aisle, and we'll have a problem. We are going to take a travel potty, but still, where do you put it if you cannot get to the loo?
We're flying with Ryanair btw who recently have abolished their policy of "families with kids first" and I refuse to pay extra for that priority, so we are probably going to let the masses fight for a seat and be the last ones to embark, and therefore we'll be stuck somewhere very far away from the toilets.
And I don't want to put dd in a nappy for the flight. She will refuse, for starters. Any experiences you can share?
Heeeelp please.

Where will you put the travel potty in the aircraft loo?!
I remember trying to change my toddlers pooey nappy standing up in the plane loo and it ending up on the floor!!! Had to clean it up with loo roll and baby wipes!!!
I presume that your little girl will have a seat of her own if she's over 2 yrs, just put down a disposable change mat on the seat with the travel pot on top and sit her on in the seat when necessary. The change mat is a precaution against spills or near misses! Even if there are no obstacles in your way, or people in the loo, you may still not get the little one there in time. I've seen nappies changed on laps or seats, and no-one takes any notice.
If you're worried about any potential smell, you could spray perfume onto the absorbent pad in the travel potty to help mask it, (do before you go to the airport!)

When we went to Tenerife when DS was 2 I took a toodle-loo (something like that) folding toilet seat and got him to sit on the toilet on that. Was great apart from that I left it in the loo on the outbound journey so for the rest of the holiday he just had to cope! Remember the obvious things like taking her to the loo just before you get on the plane etc.

Don't get why you will be miles away from the loos? Will you not have allocated seats? If not, are you not worried about finding seats together? I always prefer to have allocated seats but then get on the plane last with children.

Thanks Bozza and Kittensocks for the tips! Unfortunately we are flying with Ryanair because it's the only line that flies to my hometown, and they don't allocate seats, you just fight for one! Bad idea I know, but they should give priority to families. DD will have her own seat though, she pays the full ticket now that she's over 2. I will get that change mat! Good point about the travel potty, it's going to have to be done on the seat.
Thanks a lot, I was wondering who other people managed...
