Toilet training

I recently started toilet training my child. I noticed that it’s always me asking her do you need the toilet ? Shall we go toilet ? And she always says no but I bring her anyway and tell her let’s just try, and everytime I do bring her she always has to urinate. So what I am confused about is that why does she say no ? Should I even be asking her ? Two times I didn’t and she came to me and told me change me I leaked...
She has to start nursery next week and I am scared she won’t tell the teacher she has to go and just end up leaking all the time...
any advice ?

How long since you started training her? We started training My DD in Feb when she was just over 2.5. It is only in the last 4 weeks that we've been able to stop asking her/Or taking her religiously. She now asks us to take her. It takes time, some more than others. Don't worry if she has accidents, it encourage them to learn faster. Also nursery should take her fairly regularly if you explain to them her situation.

Agree with PP

Ive only trained one stubborn little boy and trust me your lo even acknowledging that shes leaking is a huge step forward. I started training my son in June and its only just few weeks ago hes been going on his own and that too about 80% of the time.

She'll get there. How long will probably depend on how ready she is I guess?

Nursery should be supportive

I think the prompting is something that we know we shouldn't do but can't help it.
