Anyone else finding maternity leave boring?

I feel awful saying this as I love my son very much. But I’m a FTM to a 12 week old. I used to be a corporate sucker and worked long hours. Now I’m finding maternity leave so boring?
My husband is WFH due to Covid so is around for a quick cup of tea and chat, but I’m not really doing much (again due to Covid it’s just a pain with masks/restrictions). Other than playing with the baby when he’s awake, going out for a walk every day, keeping house organised. What can I do? I end up just watching telly.... any tips?

I think it can be quite dull in the first few months when the baby isn't really doing much beyond eating, sleeping and gurgling. Could you start a new hobby you could do around naptimes? I started making jam and chutney when my DD was a newborn, which I appreciate sounds a bit mad but it gave me something to do and I was able to give the things I'd made as Christmas presents so we didn't end up with a larder full of preserves!

You could try knitting, cross stitch, drawing, painting, decopage - I suppose it does help with if you enjoy crafts/etc but you could read, exercise or something similar if that's more appealing?

Going against the grain here but I'm really enjoying maternity leave - I surprised myself! Our house and garden has a LOT that needs doing though, so that is keeping me busy.

Are there any local groups you could join OP? A lot seem to be slowly starting up again around my way.

I was bored with my first DC too, he was a very sleepy baby who just wanted to be in his cot. I went back to work part time when he was 7 months which was a huge relief. I did lots of DIY while he napped (and napped) and made loads of purées when he got to the weaning stage, which fortunately he loved. It gets better as they get older and develop their personalities. With DC2 I wasn’t bored as I had DC1 to look after too, it was busy and I enjoyed it.
