They will be absolutely fine. You did the right thing opening the windows, but any fumes would have been negligible. Don't worry. Smile

If you're still worried, just make sure to keep an eye out for dizziness or illness, though if they were affected symptoms would have presented by now usually.

If your smoke alarm didn't go off then I'd say you did the right thing and the risk is negligible.

I’m sure he will be fine. Burn plastic stinks but the level of dangerous fumes would be very low.

Serenschintte · 25/08/2020 11:00

Kindly you are being overtly anxious. Try to do something fun or enjoyable today to take your mind off it.

OccasionalNachos · 25/08/2020 11:01

He’ll be absolutely fine. Opening the windows was the right thing to do, hopefully your weather is not as windy and rainy as it is here!

Find another way to sterilise things OP Smile

KitKatastrophe · 25/08/2020 11:03

It's a one off and a tiny quantity. He will be fine. Things like cognitive delays and sight loss will not be caused by a tiny amount. However I would stop using the microwave to sterelise plastic things without water. That's not what they're designed for. Put it in a steam stereliser, use milton tablets or get a mini microwave stereliser where you add water. It's the heat of the water/steam which sterelizes.

I never bothered sterilising anything other than bottles - from an early age, DS would put anything and everything in his mouth so it seemed pointless. Obviously if you're FF, you need to do the bottles.
