Ideas for 3 year old party? In October

I just have one dd who will be 3 in October so have never done the party thing before! (Previously just had family meals).
She would love a party with her nursery friends but as it is October I am a bit wary about whether or not it would go ahead/if parents would want to send their kids.
Do I get in quick and book a soft play? Or keep it safer and do an outdoors tea party (and risk it raining). My SIL is a children’s entertainer so that side is covered!
Thoughts please?

We’ve always done parties for my ds who’s bday is end of sept and we aren’t going to bother this year... maybe a lot of stress and organisation for nothing! Maybe go with the outside teaparty idea and have some kind of outside cover incase?

I'm not doing a party this year as no idea what the rules will be!

Last year (kids turned 2 and 4-birthdays days apart do joint parties for now!) I hired them community centre with softplay and bouncy castle, did a buffet and made cupcakes instead of party bags!

Cost me around £150!

Kids loved it, it was absolutely manic and wild and I had lots of wine afterwards!

We are going to dinosaur world in Feb half term instead of a party (jan birthdays!).

Just do a tea party at home!

If my child was invited to a soft play in October I wouldn't send them.
I would send them round to your living room or garden, maybe get a gazebo? And lots of games and cake! X

Soft play is very risky- so many people who are otherwise happy to mix won’t take their kids to one.

We recently had a garden party for our 3yr old- but trickier in autumn.

If you want to do something, how about book a hall...you could hire a bouncy castle, play music, pass the parcel.

Thank you everyone! It seems a garden tea party (and gazebo!) might be the best option. But I might have to leave it quite late to actually plan it - maybe a few weeks before. But food for thought 💭
