Eating and booster seat

My dd is not very fond of her high chair and at nursery is used to sitting at a little table and just a small chair. At 15mths do you think she is too young to ditch the high chair permanently and just have a booster seat.

If she can be relied upon not to wriggle so much that she falls out (which can happen even with a harness), then why not? You could perhaps comromise with one of the boosters that is, effectively, a high chair on an ordinary chair, with harness and tray etc, but then converts to a booster by removing bits.

I have the FP space saver seat at Granparents and wish I had it at home as it is a sort of high chair on a chair and you can remove the tray so it fits at the table and then other bits so it is just a booster. DD with tray is firmly in it where as with the high chair she has to be strapped in (trauma) as she can climb out. Also getting her to sit down now is harder she is 19 mths btw. She has a small table and chair but prefers to eat up at adult level.

If you find the right booster seat yes. boy used one instead of a high chair from 6 months.
We have the early years one that straps on a chair and has a belt and tray so its like a high chair in most respects.

I have a cheaper version of the stokke trip trap chair but I use a booster whenever we visit friends/relatives.

As this is ds2 we knew the pitfalls so we chose this one

see here

reason being is that the base of the seat is moulded out of one piece of plastic that goes someway up the child's back meaning there are no nasty grooves where food gets stuck.

Ds1 is 4 and still sits in a booster seat at the table because he is a fidget bottom and it keeps him in the chair otherwise he is up and down. They like to be just like us so a booster is a good idea as they feel very grown up.

we only ever used a booster with ds2...ok so it had a detachable tray but that was ditched pretty quickly

Def think will get one. Thanks for tips.

DTDs never had a high chair. They were fed in their carseats for early weaning and then had plastic booster seats from then on.
