I've got a 2.5 year old DD and a 4 month old! Love doing things with her but running out of ideas! She loves jigsaws so have plenty of them she gets fed up with the usual Lego play doh colouring etc is there any good toys that anyone could suggest or activities?

Any suggestions appreciated also trying to get her to play a bit more independently she has dolls and stuff?! Can they have too many toys haha I feel like she gets bored easily or is this just the norm
X thanks in advance x

I’ve got a mini kitchen sink with a running tap (had it off amazon but I’ve seen it in supermarkets too) and my 2.5 year old loves it. I let her play in the kitchen as I have a slate floor and can mop it up but it’s great for outside too. It comes with plastic accessories like a cleaning brush.

Even my 5 year old likes it!

Play kitchen, I got one for my DD at a similar age and she still plays with it a couple of years later

The type of play food that velcros together and you can 'chop' it with a play knife, together with plates, pans, etc.
Also, either do some toy rotation or move big toys to different places from time to time. It has the effect of toddler thinking they are a new toy!

Those round stickers you get for office use in different colours.
We have those plastic farm/zoo animals and dinosaurs and they often get a wash or have play dough eggs made for them.
I sometimes shut us in a dark room with a torch
Collect nature stuff on walks and play with it later
If you have a wooden fence that changes colour when wet give her a paintbrush anda bucket of water.
Hide half the toys each week, they will be more interesting afterwards.

Toy rotation really helps mine be interested in her toys - I change it round every 10 days or so.

Drs kit - set up a mini hospital for dolls
Play kitchen or shop
Craft box - crayons, paper, card, safety scissors, pritt stick, stickers (does depend if she's a draw on the walls type though)
Could you wrap up jigsaw pieces to extend the play or hide them round so she's got to find them before putting them together.

Sheets of easy to remove stickers and paper. My girl would spend ages just literally peeling them off their sheet and then sticking them on paper.
Anything that involves 'sorting'. Toy cars, animals etc. Sorting means just lining them up or moving them from one box to another.
