Green poo and teething?

My DD is just over 9 weeks old and is EBF. I have noticed over the last few days her poos have turned a dark green colour and look a bit stringy! She's not doing as many poos anymore either but still doing about 5 in a 24 hour period. She has started dribbling a bit more and chewing on her fist and is a bit more teary and clingy during the day but still sleeping at well at night. Is she teething? I've just thought about it and started worrying that something is wrong. Should I call my GP or HV? I'm a first time mum so this might be a silly question!

i think i read somewhere that green poo means they arent getting enough hindmilk, maybe look into that. Good luck!

I’ve read a lot about babies having green poo because my DD had green poo when she had rotavirus. She seemed perfectly well apart from lots of runny, mucusy, green poo. It was pretty grim, but resolved itself after a couple of weeks. The other causes I’ve read about are foremilk/hindmilk imbalance as mentioned above and teething due to swallowing loads of saliva, like you say. If it carries on, your baby’s poo can be tested for bacterial infections and viruses by the GP.
