Believe it or not i never give my kids chewy sweets of any kind but today after stressful day was in shop & my 4 year old asked for these gum sweets which i thought were just sweets same as his granny gives him. Turns out it was small round bubble gum. He swallowed 5 of them this was 3 hours ago.

Im totally freaking out. What do i do? Call NHS? or just see how he goes? Feel so bad

He'll be fine! Gum is edible, it's just not particularly digestible.

If he becomes constipated or has bad tummy pain speak to your GP but otherwise I expect you'll see it quite soon in his stools.

Is this serious? Calling NHS because he ate bubblegum? What a waste of time

He will be fine a little hyper maybe

He will be fine. It will come out the other end. The only article I could find to reassure you is the DM I’m afraid but he will be okay.

Ok thank you - he suffers from constipation anyway so i was worried it would cause some sort of blockage.

Thank you for the reassurance i appreciate it.

It'll be fine.

They really wouldn't be allowed to sell something designed to go in your mouth and taste good, if it was going to be harmful.
