Newborn & 14 month old

Hi, I'm due my second baby later in the year and my first baby will just be 14 months. Does anyone have any experience/tips on how to manage both? I'm concerned about my daughter getting jealous of the newborn but also wary of going the opposite way and spoiling her to stop her from feeling left out!

I'm assuming a baby carrier will be essential for baby no2 to keep up with my daughter but if anyone has any other advice on managing 2 young babies at once I'd be grateful!

Get two white noise machines
Instead of having one enormous bag where everything you need ends up at the bottom, get two smaller initialled bags - one for each child.
If you didn’t get a bath seat for your first child, then make sure you definitely get one for your second! It means you have your hands free so that you can wash your baby and your toddler at the same time.
Save yourself from traipsing up and down the stairs with both kids in tow and get a changing station for each floor of your home. Buy a really cheap changing mat and stash it underneath your sofa to keep things tidy.
If both of your kids are in rear-facing car seats you may want two car mirrors to keep an eye on what they’re both doing.
Thermos mug - the chances of you finishing a hot drink before it cools down to room temperature are slim to none.
Even if you already have a baby monitor, you’ll want to consider upgrading to a monitor that supports two cameras.
Put together a ‘busy box’ with some toys which will occupy your toddler when you’re feeding your baby.
Consider getting a high chair which supports a newborn so you can put the baby in it without worrying about your toddler poking its eyes out. Useful when you need to pee.

Ooh thank you the 2 changing bag idea is genius! I already have a changing station downstairs too but might have a separate box for each as baby will need smaller nappies and different wipes to begin with! Never thought of the practicalities of needing a wee and leaving baby alone with the toddler too! Thank you!

Decent double buggy. Few 'nips and tweaks' and you can synchronise those naps!!
Meant to your schedule not to the dc..
Grin
I have 3 sets of dc 14 months apart!!
