9 week old woke up tummy down

Hi
Not sure if there is anything I can do about this but my 9 week old was swaddled and in his sleepy head and I woke up this morning and he had face planted and was totally tummy down. I’d obviously put him down on his back. More scared that when he’s swaddled he can’t use his arms to push himself upright.

Is this dangerous and what can I do?

It is dangerous using a Sleepy Head at all for overnight.

Once they can roll, unswaddle. The light weight cotton sleeping bags are great. I think I got some from TKMaxx.

That would worry me, especially in a tight space like a sleepy head! Ask health visitor for advice? Maybe its time to stop swaddling.

No more swaddling and no more sleepyhead. If he can roll then don't try to prevent it, just have an empty sleeping area for him with only a well fitting sleeping bag, no cot bumpers, no soft toys.

Yes sleepy heads are supposed to be used under supervision

You can no longer swaddle! As soon as they can roll over it's not safe I'm sorry to say- not even a half swaddle (arms out). No more sleepy head either (and I feel for you! I was able to swaddle and sleepyhead until 4 months).
Flat firm surface is now very important, with nothing else in the cot x

Don’t swaddle him anymore. It isn’t safe once they can roll over. Also as others have said the sleepyhead isn’t safe for overnight sleep, especially in hot weather as they can cause baby to overheat
