How important is tummy time

My 6 month old still hates tummy time... She is such a happy baby until I put her on her tummy, then she's unsettled for ages. I have to admit that because of this, I don't do it every day. Perhaps once every other day. I know, terrible Blush
Health visitor believes that she hates it so much because she is refluxy.
She does love sitting up however, and I try to have her sitting on my knee a lot. Her head and torso control seem to be on track. Am I a terrible mum?? And what can I do to help her with tummy time?

Not that important for most - it was just becoming a thing when mine were little and we seemed to have managed without it until then. Sadly I see mums online making themselves feel guilty because they forgot it sometimes or bad that their baby hates it. My view on parenting things is that there is very little that makes a profound difference if it hasn't been an accepted 'thing' for a long time.

TBH, I think having babies sleep on their back is basically the last 'new' piece of baby advice that really mattered and that's 30+ years old.

HELP I need help with tummy time. He’s 10 weeks old has all the cushions mats light up toys music toys mirrors rattles books mobiles interactive teddies but he’s just having none of it. I lie him on his tummy time cushion he keeps head on one side and doesn’t lift at all then after maybe 1 minutes starts crying and getting really distressed. I’ve asked my health visitor via message no reply. Family keep telling me how important tummy time is however my son jsit will not do it he’s fine and on mark with everything else but tummy time jsit nope. He’s my first child I’m a single mum
And I’m concerned I’m really letting him down or hindering his development

My daughter HATED it. (Silent reflux)

She's now 8 and fine.

So don't stress about it.
