Toddler proofing

Can you ever fully toddler proof your home? My 19 month old is into everything I spend my life refilling cupboards and drawers he's emptied do they ever learn not to do it??

No is the stort answer. I made sure low cupboards had unbreakables in and let them get it out their system as found more you try to stop them the more they want to do it.

I wish I knew. We're a year further down the line and I regularly discover her emptying cupboards, or my least favourite, the freezer.

Emptying things is a developmental stage so one if those things to just work through. Perhaps look at opportunities to empty things in a safe and more controlled way but unfortunately forbidden fruit is always tastier!

Lock all your kitchen cupboards except one and let them have access to it - we used that cupboard for all the Tupperware, mixing bowls etc, measuring cups and spoons etc. They used to make a beeline for it and leave the rest alone.

Contents all pretty safe (having removed unsafe items over the last few months!) it's just really boring adding "cupboard/drawer refilling" to my extensive to do list 😂

He has lots of empty/fill toys and yes he loves them, but my stuff is far more interesting lol the only locked cupboard is the cleaning one in the kitchen, I'd rather endure this and teach him "no" than to lock everything down
