How do you persuade a 4yo to wipe his bottom himself?

Prettycandles, I am glad you asked this as we are having the same problem and I can't remember it being an issue with my daughter. Unicorn, thanks for the idea. I wonder if there is any toilet paper that has kids prints on it as I can see ds putting the entire box of kandoo down the loo!

prettycandles · 14/10/2004 21:20

Perfectly Happy People used to do a very cute roll of toilet paper with all sorts of prints.

Personally, I always thought that and Kandoo were expensive gimmicks, but I think I may have to try them.

Any other ideas?

Prettycandles, he doesn't! He manages to time his visits for first thing in the morning and then when we get home.

I think he does go at school occasionally and must try then but not very successfully because I can always tell!

On the quetion of bottome wiping, when do you think my dd should start wiping herself? She will be 3 soon and starting preschool. She always try to wipe herself after a wee but so far I have absolutely refuse to let her wipe herself after a poo.

Should she start with Kandoo and progress onto toilet paper, or just go straight onto toilet paper?

Any advice would be appreciated
