Easy to use newborn carriers/slings

Hi,

I was wondering if anybody had any recommendations for carriers/slings. I am expecting my 2nd child in September and my DS will be 27 months old. I'd rather avoid getting a double buggy, but would like get a really practical carrier instead. With my DS I had a fabric sling and a baby Bjorn carrier but really struggled with both - I could never get him comfortably into the fabric sling and the carrier seemed to have about 10 different clips!

Does anybody have any recommendations? Please note, I am unfortunately not always the most coordinated, so want something really easy... and I will probably be buying second hand.

I like the Caboo. It comes in one piece and you literally just put it on and tighten it up.

The mamaruga zensling. Oh my goodness it’s just fab. It’s soft at the front like a caboo (which I could never get on with) but has buckles ages the back which makes it really secure.
I hired one from my local sling library and then bought one on eBay. Would absolutely recommend.

Have a look at a Connecta, you can use from newborn with an accessory strap. Really easy to put on and not thick so you won’t get too hot wearing it.

baby k-tan hybrid. I'm still using it for second baby at 6mo.

Thank you. Looking into these suggestions now.

The ergo baby omni 360 is really simple. I have a neuromuscular issue so dexterity can be interesting but manage with the ergo baby really well

I liked the Hana stretchy wrap sling and found it very easy to use. I had a different wrap sling (bought off amazon, no idea the brand) originally that began to hurt my back because I hadn’t known having two way stretch fabric is really important for support.

We are using the Ergo embrace. its a soft sling from newborn, but with clips. super each. We use around the house and have been hiking with 2 month old already.
Have the Ergo omni also, but when I tried recently that still feels too bulky for younger baby (and ours is not a tiny baby either)

I like a Caboo for when their tiny. I had one with my first but never really cracked it, watched a few YouTube clips this time around and loved it. I used to put it on at home before my coat, jump in the car and tuck baby into it when i needed to nip in the shops, do the school run etc. I have a connecta that I use now shes got a bit older but don’t get on with it as well.

Have you got a sling library locally? We don’t and I wish we did cause I would love to try more and find one that really clicks.

Oh my days wrong their, am so cross with myself GrinBlush

Thanks again, looking at all of these. Quite like the look of the ergo embrace in particular. From googling, we have a sling library about a half hour drive away, but unsure if it'll be running currently.

Just to say, my baby is a bit older now and ive got a ergo 360. Its really comfy. I think you can use them when they're tiny too, but I particularly like it because they can face outwards when they're older/big enough/have good neck control. Ive just started doing this with my son and he really likes it
