Help! Keeping newborn baby cool at night

How is everyone keeping there babies cool at night when the hot weather is here? We live in a 3 story house with our room at the top and it often gets to 30c and over in the hotter weather. We have a big fan but the room is quite large so it doesn't really make much difference. I'm considering buying an air conditioning unit but they are quite pricey so was wondering if anyone had any other tips to try first or if anyone has a good unit they would recommend.
Thanks 😊

We keep he fan focused specifically on her and then all try and wear as little as possible to keep cool. Sometimes we also keep the window open.

DDs are older now, but this used to make me super anxious.

Things I remember doing:

Vest and lowest tog sleeping bag

Window and door open, fan on a chair outside the room

Loft hatch open

1tog or lower sleeping bag and vest.

Fan in the room.

Windows open but curtains closed all day long.

When it was really hot a few weeks ago she slept in a travel cot in our room because it's a lot cooler than her attic room. Also 0.5 tog bag with just a nappy; all the blinds down in the heat of the day; all the windows in the attic rooms wide open when the sun goes down

Concentrate on keeping the house cool. Keep all blind and windows closed until evening. Can the baby sleep in the second floor?

Window open
Wear nothing but a nappy
Fan on high blowing across the top of the cot
Rain dance to shoo away the sun

We have a sun reflecting film on dd's bedroom windows which has made an enormous difference. We also have a ceiling fan, and if it gets really hot I put a desk fan in there with a humidifier on as well, that seems to cool things a bit. Blackout curtains and blind, kept closed all day help as well.

Lived in the tropics so I have loads of experience.
No matter how small baby is do not have her sleep in a small space. e.g. Moses basket or travel cot. Use an open sided cot so the air circulates. Place a thick towel on the mattress under the sheet (this allows a circulation of air underneath). Use cotton sheet. Do not use sleeping bag or duvet. Dress child in cotton vest and nappy. Have air circulating but not blowing directly on her. Blackout curtains during the day with windows closed. Open window after dark (unless mozzie problem).
Just go with what you are comfortable with.

If she gets a heat rash bathe with tepid water and use non talc baby powder. (Never use talc as impurities are carcinogenic)
Air conditioning or an extractor fan would be best as you would all benefit.
