Teething 10month old... about to lose it

10 month-old DD is currently strojug my unshaven legs because it's amusing, but she's in a lot of pain with her teeth. Her 7th cut through yesterday evening and we barely slept last night, tonight looks to be the same.

My nipple feels like it's got pins shoved in it from where she's been biting the last week or so (I've not managed to stop her doing it, she's stubborn), and I'm not dealing with the lack of sleep well. I'm about to lose it with her, because I can't function.

She refuses to let me shove my finger in her mouth to let her chew it, or put any sort of gel on it, or brush her teeth etc.

She doesnt want to chew anything.

Nothing cold, it upsets her Hmm

She's had an upset stomach, wind, burping etc

She gets a temp whenever she goes to bed. Hot torso, cold legs. Been giving her medicine to offset that, and the pain, but it's a nightmare getting her to take it.

Any other suggestions?

I've got PND and lack of sleep really affects everything. I'm trying to keep calm but I'm at the end of my tether now

What medicine are you giving? I find ibuprofen helps more than paracetamol but you can give both if needed. Anbesol liquid is effective, but only if you can get it in her mouth in the first place.

The upset stomach is probably caused by teething and the temperature might be but it also worth bearing in mind she could have a bug. How is she the rest of the time? Sometimes staying on top of painkillers is more effective than waiting until they are more than needed.

@SunbathingDragon using ibuprofen, and the ambesol teething gel. Haven't been able to get hold of the liquid round here, otherwise I'd use it. We should have some in the house but like everything round here it seems to have disappeared.

She's usually a very happy baby, and she has been today when she's not been screaming about her teeth. She's tired because she's not getting decent sleep because of it all.

I asked my parents for any ideas because they've had 8 kids, all they said was "suck it up, all babies teeth". Yes, I know, which is why I asked for suggestions.

I'm sorry, I need to vent. I'm so done with everything right now.

Is there anything that will get her off to sleep such as a drive in the car? I find teething can be a breeze with some babies and the worst thing ever with others but when it means they can’t sleep, so are overtired, it’s just horrendous all round.

What is your partner up to this evening? Sometimes setting up a rota so you know you get to have a few hours of peace to go to sleep and get a bit of recharging in can make such a difference.

We don't drive, and DH was with the toddler last night. Finally managed to get some liquid today, and DD managed to sleep pretty well during the night but hasn't had a decent sleep today, just been napping on and off. She's fallen asleep on me now. My mum is going to take me shopping soon so I'll take her with me in the car and hope she goes off more then.
