Burping at 9 months

My DS has always been windy and needed lots of burping. It took us a while to realise that it was excess wind causing restless and upset nights. We thought he would outgrow it as he started to sit, wean, crawl... but no, we still need to do 30 minutes minimum burping after all milk and solid feeds. Even then we sometimes get a stubborn burp that we can't shift, and DS is in pain until we do.

Has anyone else experienced this? Mum friends that I have spoken to only get 1 or 2 burps out (if they have to actively burp at all), DS usually has around 5 before he is comfortable.

TIA

Sorry, we are currently one of those who hardly ever burp baby (2 months), he doesn't seem to need it.

Does he seem to take in a lot of air when taking milk? is he breast or bottle fed? I notice even breastfeeding baby can sometimes not be latched on properly and can hear him take in air. Bottle fed, maybe swap to beaker soon instead

Actually, Do you use a sling a lot? thats the only reason I can think why we dont need to burp a lot (as he is upright in the sling several times a day)

My little one is the same however he's only 5.5 months old, how do you manage in the night after a feed (if you still do them?) I find sleepy burping impossible hehe x
