Which double pram or buggy board?

Hey everyone, we are due our second child in November, our first will be 2 years 3months. Originally was just thinking to get a buggy board for the oldest, but now second thinking it and wondering if we need a double pram for longer walks? We can't have a wide double one cos of our front door! We do lots of walking on off road paths so needs to be sturdy, also not tooo expensive! Any advice? Thank you :)

I think it depends on your child and how good a walker they are. I know mine at that age weren’t reliable enough for anything more than a walk round the block and they were so slow, stopping to pick things up etc. The mountain buggy duet is a brilliant pushchair, it’s really narrow and I haven’t found a doorway it doesn’t fit through.

Following with interest to see what others say. My DS will be a bit older than yours when baby arrives (3) so looking for any buggy board recommendations Smile I'm also thinking i will carry baby in a sling on certain outings and keep DS in his current buggy.

It’s also perfect for off road, really sturdy. The main negative is that it’s bulky when folded so takes up lots of car boot space and it’s heavy to lift.

This is one of those "depends on lots of things" questions.

Buggy board pros:
Cheaper
Means toddler can hop on and off easily
Good for journeys up to 2 miles

Buggy board isn't so good if you do lots of off road stuff with your current pushchair, or if you know you'll be walking miles. Come November the weather will be worse so by March next year when you'll probably be out more, toddler will be nearer 3.

We did sling and current pushchair for the toddler if we knew we'd be out a while.

Following with interest too. I like the look of the uppababy Vista but seems I'm too short for it (5"0). We currently have the bugaboo bee but it will only take a buggy board, which won't be enough for when my daughter is tired.

Also having second child in November. DC1 will be 2 years and 6 months. We’re not getting a double. I’m going to use the sling for the baby and keep DC1 in the pram, and also have a buggyboard for if I need to use the pram for the baby (like if car seat is clipped on or something). I used the sling pretty much exclusively for DC1 until he was 6 months anyway so think it’ll be fine. We’ve got the bugaboo bee and the bugaboo board works really well with it.

I noticed online the out n about nipper comes as the V4 which has 3 wheels and a little nipper double with 4 wheels, can anyone recommend a 3 or 4 wheel side by side and why one is better than the other?

What about something like this? I'm a childminder, but currently pregnant and I'm considering one of these for when I go back to work.
