Baby weight

DS turned 1 a few days ago. With covid etc we haven't been able to take him to be weighed obviously and a house move in Feb meant that we had to wait to be put on the system in our new area so he hasn't been formally weighed since the end of January.
He was born very small (4lb 14oz) and has stayed roughly between the 10th and 20th lines as he's got older. At 8 1/2 months he started crawling and dropped to the 15th line but this was not unexpected! He then gained a bit back to the 20th line by 10months. However since 10 months he has not gained (or lost) any weight at all!
I'm not sure what to do. He is perfectly happy and healthy he hits all of his milestones etc. Do we just start encouraging more food?

Maybe speak to your HV. You could offer higher fat/calorie food eg avocado and nut butters. At 1 years you are suppose to start offering snacks too.

Where would you expect him to settle genetically? Are you and dad below or above average height/build? My first baby dropped from 75th to 25th centile at around that time but as me and my husband are short it seemed to make sense. I think she was converting fat to muscle as she became more mobile but didn’t really put on weight. Also, remember if you’re using different scales they can show very different weights. However, if you’re concerned then speak to your HV or GP.

@Mummyongin I'm overweight dad is on the higher end of healthy weight so we're not small!
He is very very active and constantly on the go so I think that is part of it.

I would go more on your height than weight (or your childhood weight maybe?), but if he’s become a lot more active that could definitely explain it
