What oil should I use to massage baby?

I think my baby is having trouble pooing so would like to give him a tummy massage. What oil is best to use? I know olive oil used to be recommended but not sure that’s the case anymore. Should I buy something like Burts Bees? I don’t want to harm baby’s delicate skin - he’s only 8 weeks old.

What about coconut oil? Its natural and is super moisturising

DD is doing a baby massage class over Zoom and they recommend Child’s Farm Baby Oil. It’s in a spray bottle too so less messy, particularly if it gets knocked over.

I did baby massage classes with my 6-week old. We were given a small bottle of pure safflower oil. But I also think sunflower would be fine.

The baby massage lady we had told us to use just basic plain sunflower or vegetable oil as it is the most gentle. Seemed to work fine, though I did sort of feel like I was preparing a chicken for roasting!Blush

I was told olive oil, but I think coconut oil would smell nicer!
