Babies and room temperature

As I am such a worrier I just wanted to see what everyone else does as the weather is getting much warmer. Our girl is only 7 weeks so we have a groegg in our bedroom and at the minute it is on 25 degrees, on the back of the groegg between 20 and 24 is warm and anything over 24 is too warm so does this mean it's too warm for baby to be in the room at all?? Or would just leaving her in a nappy in her basket be okay as the temperature will drop a little through the night. I feel like I'm worrying too much but then SIDS is more of a risk between 2 and 4 months.

No baby can be in the room, just dress them accordingly. I have a 6 week old and I'm putting him to bed in a short sleeve vest. Will probably pop a thin blanket on him after his next feed when the temperature has dropped.

At that temp my lo would be just in a nappy. She liked a blanket though so we covered her in a muslin. If the temp dropped enough during the night we would put a light cellular blanket over her.

If you can, cool the room down before she goes in at night. We have a blackout blind in the nursery and if it's hot we have a fan on from the afternoon. Itll be on all night tonight as it's so stuffy!

Try and keep the room cool, but nappy is fine to sleep in on a night like this. I had the same worries until I thought about it babies are all over the world in all temperatures you can’t always keep things to the book. Just try your best. Ours was born during a hot summer. But we had a forest fire nearby so had no choice but fans and windows shut it was disgustingly warm but we muddled through trying our best and you will too.
