One boob seems to have stopped making milk?!

So my little one is 10weeks old and exclusively breastfeed we’ve been getting on really well with it until yesterday! I think my right boob has stopped making milk?!
Feels soft, isn’t leaking and when she feeds from that side she doesn’t end up with milk dribbling across her chin or cheek like normal. The other side seems ok. Any ideas what’s going on?!?

I’ve had a similar issue with my right one in and off since my baby was born (six months ago). I think the advice is to keep feeding from it as they work on a supply/demand system, if you don’t get baby to feed from it you’ll get lopsided.

There is some good advice here: kellymom.com/bf/got-milk/lopsided/

Around 10weeks my supply settled down a lot and my boobs didn't leak so much & felt soft. Although that was both and not one! It could be that? Your baby will soon let you know if milk isn't coming out. I would keep feeding from both sides as normal. My left breast always flowed quicker than my right too.

Yes I’m still getting baby to feed from that side m as normal so alternating which boob we start feeding from. She’s obviously getting some from that side but not enough as she feeds on it for longer than normal then still feeds from the other side and gets her milky face then stops when full. If we start in the side that’s ok she seems full from that side only in a much shorter time. It’s just weird when these things happen for the first time and trying to work outnwhy!

She probably just prefers the other side and your supply is regulating. Just carry on as normal. You could always start with that boob if you’re worried and then that’ll boost supply in that one.

My DS has a neck issue having been breach so couldn’t feed from one side for a while. He’s back to normal now with physio and I’m lopsided. Trying to resolve currently. He can still get milk from it even though it was seldom used. You will have milk!

All of the things like full breasts, leaking milk etc are what tends to happen before your milk supply has settled down. Once your body adjusts to your baby's feeding patterns, your breast settle down and stop leaking, become softer etc. Perhaps that's just happened a bit earlier on the one side! Mine were never in perfect sync with each other either! Try hand expressing on the soft side. You'll soon see if milk is still appearing.

One of my boobs was always the more productive and I don't think it's a coincidence that it was the preferred side.
