Baby spins like a clock round the cot?

I'm not sure why but as my DS 9 months sleeps and stirs in his cot he seems to spin! Every few hours he wakes and when I go in his head is against the cot bars so wonder if this is what wakes him up?
Anyone ever experienced this? Wondering if we'll all get more sleep if he stops this Confused

My DD is 6 months old and has been spinning in her cot for about a month. She just doesn't seem to want to stay still. She's the same when she's awake. We just assume she will want to crawl soon.

Mines a travelling man too. It seems to just be how he sleeps. For some reason rolling over will make him wake up yowling, but wedging himself sideways across the cot with his foot hanging out doesn't. I don't even try to straighten him out any more, it just wakes him up.

Mind you, I find his father in some amazing positions too, so it's probably genetic.

Mine does this at 10 weeks! A sleeping bag slows him down slightly, and makes it harder for him to get both feet wedged through the bars, but yeah, he's all over the place

It is normal, and they grow out of it. I think my eldest 2 grew out of it about 2, they were all over the place

Mines 10 and still cartwheels in bed! Doesn’t stop moving during the day either though Grin

My nearly 1 year old ends up doing laps of the cot and always pushes her head up against the end. She sleeps really well though so I let her get on with it. I think it's how she self settles.

This is why we put babies into cots and not beds. Completely normal!

BumpLoading · 19/06/2020 09:05

Ahh ok will leave him to it until he grows out of it.
They should invent circular cots for these babies Grin

I’m forever having to change the angle of the camera from the monitor once baby is in bed. Some nights I don't think there’s an inch of cot that hasn’t been rolled over.

ItsMischerWavy · 19/06/2020 11:58

Mine did this from very very young! The older she got the worse she got and was waking herself up through the banging/getting stuck. Ended up getting a mattress for the travel cot and using the travel cot instead until she was in a bed. It did stop her from waking herself up

Your post made me smile- my daughter was a wriggler at night! Gro-bags helped a lot. Before those she made such a mess of her bedding and often woke up- I think as she was chilly! It's a normal phase but passes when they're more physically active.
