To absolutely detest car seats

I have a Bugaboo Turtle (made by Nuna) car seat and bloody hell it’s hard to use!

DS has grown so I need to adjust the straps so they’re on the next setting, and I cannot for the life of me work out how to do it. DH is equally useless at such things.

From what I can see, you have to take off all the padding and move the straps somehow on the metal base. I find the instructions really hard to understand though so I’m not entirely sure.

What really worries me is that I may not be using it correctly because it’s so damn complicated - which could be serious if we were to have an accident.

Why do they have to make these things so complicated (or maybe I’m just thick?)

Have you tried looking for a YouTube video? They can be easier to follow than the instruction manual.

If all else fails contact the shop you bought it from as they should be able to advise you on ensuring a safe fit.

YouTube videos are great but there doesn’t seem to be one for this particular car seat unfortunately - just my luck!

Contact the retailer and/or manufacturer to ask.

The Bugaboo Turtle is pretty much a Nuna Pipa car seat. I've not done the search, but maybe there's a video showing strap adjustment on the Pipa, that should translate to the Turtle?

I have a Pipa Lite LX which I've adjusted the shoulder straps for a couple of times. It's much easier than the instructions made it look.

Did you have any luck with this? I can try and help if you still need it. Feel free to PM me with pictures if you're unsure.

It's a pain when the instructions are complicated because you're right, they are a safety item and ought to be easy to use!
