I'm trying to find bodysuits/basics for my 5mo DD online - I'd pop into primark but not up for the massive queues! I made an order from George Clothing, which was supposed to arrive yesterday. It turns out that the parcel was damaged by the courier (customer services words)! I am so pissed off at Hermes as it's not the first time I've had an issue with them. George have refunded me and given me an e voucher as an apology despite it not being their fault. Which other store can I order from that doesn't use Hermes for their delivery? I'm on an extremely tight budget so would prefer somewhere that sells bodysuits etc in multipacks at a decent price.

I think you can get bodysuits from mns and do Click and Collect. There will most probably be a queue but I don't think it will as bad as the queues we are seeing at Primark.

Have you had a look on Amazon?

LoisLittsLover · 16/06/2020 18:07

I find h and m really reasonable and also big so they last for ages

Thank you for the suggestions. @LoisLittsLover love h&m but sadly most of the multipacks are out of stock in her size. Never tried amazon or M&S for clothes @5lilducks @Comeintothegardenflora but I'll check them out now :)

Try boots or sainsburys, or if you're ok with second hand, have a look on ebay, there are often people selling bundles of kids clothes.

Gin4thewin · 16/06/2020 18:25

I started getting sainsburys clothes for ds when he was born and thats pretty much the only place i go now for him and dd. Washes and tumble dries great, found asda stuff shrinks and goes bobbly

MuchTooTired · 16/06/2020 18:36

Both M&S and Sainsburys do lovely baby clothes, like pp says they wash really well and keep their colour. I’ve found F&F and Asda to be a bit rubbish for quality.

If you’d consider second hand eBay is brilliant for baby clothes. You can quite often get brand new stuff too.

doadeer · 16/06/2020 18:38

M&s are really soft and wash well I find.

BeeyatchPlease · 16/06/2020 18:44

Nutmeg at Morrisons is good for basics, it's my favourite of all the supermarkets ranges and washes well.
Mini club at Boots and H&M both good too.
Some things at M&S are reasonably priced (especially multipacks of vests/sleep suits) and quality is much better than supermarkets I find.

fedupandlookingforchange · 16/06/2020 18:53

Mini club at boots are really nice and Royal Mail deliver for boots.
M& Co are ok.
Asda do collect in store, morrisons are good. I found tesco not as good quality and M&S just expensive.

I really liked next multipacks and their delivery was really quick for me though no idea what courier they use

arinah · 16/06/2020 20:38

Thank you all :)

Matalan are good but unsure on who they use to deliver.

My parcel from George was stolen at a my hermes depot so I had to wait another 2 weeks after that!

I do shudder when j see a my hermes tracking email.

angel2005 · 17/06/2020 05:17

If you're willing to have some second hand, build a bundle website have soem gorgeous clothes (some second hand, some new with labels) for really reasonable prices x

GiraffeTigerElephant · 17/06/2020 17:37

I ordered some 6-9 months clothes from Sainsburys Tu on Monday, they were delivered today by Yodel. Delivery cost £3.95 and was supposed to take 3-5 working days so I'm impressed I've already received it. Haven't had chance to look at the clothes yet, so can't comment on the quality etc., but have had Tu clothing gifted to us and those items have been great so far. I actually chose Sainsburys as it was the only place I could find multipacks of sleeveless vests with the envelope neck. I made the mistake of getting some without the envelope opening when I bought 3-6 months clothes and have been finding it increasingly difficult getting the vests off DC as they're just not as stretchy without the envelope style opening.

arinah · 17/06/2020 18:11

Will definitely opt for sainsburys in the future! Although the courier returned with my parcel today...totally undamaged and clwarly a case of not being bothered to deliver it in Monday. So now I have both the clothes and the refund Blush

I'm having a very hard time finding basics fur my baby in that size. Almost everything is sold out. All I've been wanting is white strappy vests to go under dresses, or some colorful but not pink ones but noooooo...

fonxey · 17/06/2020 19:57

I can't really remember what delivery methods other places uses. I don't like yodel i know that.

But I've never had a problem with Tu Sainsbury.

I did have a problem with m&s who before the virus would send to a local pick up point. And they decided to for some reason send it to another location i can't get to do i couldn't pick it up.

arinah · 17/06/2020 20:39

@fonxey yes exactly! All I wanted to get were some basics as she's long grown out of her 3-6 ones. It's a case of finding some things on one site, but not another item. Really struggling to find leggings in a multipack that don't come with those frilly bits at the back.

I went into our (massive) Primark yesterday and there was only 2 people in front of me in the queue. It was the same when I walked past today so I think the worst of the post-lockdown retail craziness is over if you do want to have a look there
