Weaning help

My daughter is nearly 6 months and we started introducing baby porridge to her 3 days ago. Just a little spoonful or 2 after her lunchtime bottle and before her nap. She has taken to it well and seems to enjoy it but I have noticed she has vomited more she was never a sicky baby and rarely spit up so I’m wondering if it’s the porridge. She is totally happy before and after being sick. She’s also formula fed and continues to take her bottles well
Any ideas?
Should I wait it out or contact the doc?

Tia

What milk are you using to make up the porridge?

How long after the porridge is she being sick?

And is it a little posset or is she properly throwing up?

It’s made up with cool boiled water. She’s not sick till hours after I’m assuming it’s the weaning cause she was never sick b4. It’s not a lot of spit up maybe a teaspoon or tablespoon size once or twice in the evening (she’s fed at lunchtime)

I'd maybe stop the porridge for a few days and see if that makes any difference. She's possibly just not quite ready for weaning yet.

I don't think you need to contact a doctor because it doesn't sound like an allergy or anything. Although, obviously if you're worried it's always best to check.

Baby porridge does this to my son. Hes ok on pureed veggies

Baby porridge has no real nutritional value either so no harm in leaving it and going straight for veg/fruit.

But I would leave a couple of days in between stopping porridge/starting veg just so you can definitely pinpoint if it's the porridge causing it.
