Is my 4 month old boy's behavior normal ? Why is he so fussy all of a sudden ?

My 4 month old son has been fussy lately. He does drink my breast milk, but also protests a lot. If he's feeding and sees an object on shelf, he unlatches and protests to get that object and then would try to hold it and put in mouth.
He's also sleeping less than before. I dont know why he's so fussy , more than before.

He's more fussy because he's four months Grin. He's realised the world is exciting and wants to explore it, not do boring old sleeping and eating.

I started feeding DD only in a quiet, calm place at about 4 months, and at nearly 6 we're sleep training. Others will have different things to try because there's no perfect solution (sorry!).

Yes! Totally normal. As pp said, they are super easily distracted at this age. Feed in a quiet boring place and make sure he's hungry.

Hiya my littlest one is 5 months and he has been refusing to feed a lot too - yesterday a tooth popped through :) I've distracted him by giving him a little scoop of things like cold fruit puree and giving calpol if it gets too much. Obviously your LO may not be ready for any food but you can definitely give calpol if they are struggling a lot, it is painful for them poor things :(
