You're worrying too much, even if there are problems then the overwhelming majority can be fixed.

Dd has several risk factors but her hip scan was absolutely fine.

Hip dysplasia is very common. It doesn't mean your baby won't be able to walk I assure you.

My 2nd had severe hip dysplasia, she is walking and running about like any other 3 year old. She was born with 1 hip completely dislocated and 1 partially dislocated. Her hip angles were 29 degrees and 36 degrees (ideally they should be over 60 degrees for normal hips).

She had 6 months in pavlik harness and now she has yearly xrays. Even if your child needs surgery it is fixed with this and a spica cast they will be able to walk I promise you.

Let me know how you get on.

It's just routine for breech babies, and the majority are fine

It's absolutely routine for breech babies.

Both my DDs had hip dysplasia (DD1 the most severe form.) Both discovered early and treated with a hip brace for 3 months, very straight forward and after 48 hours became our new normal.

No further issues, DD1 now a keen gymnast. Extremely unlikely that it will cause onward issues when caught early which is why they scan so many babies.
