Do you ALWAYS love ALL your children equally?

I sometime feel guilty that I feel closer to one than the other at different times. Do you think they can tell? Have changed my name for this as I want to be able to show my face around here again. Not even DH knows I feel like this at times.

no, definately not.

I always love them, I sometimes find one easier to get along with than another, but it is constantly changing.

I always love them, but don't always like them equally, that's for sure. I don't think you're alone. I have found spending a couple of hours alone with one of them doing something nice does help me to feel close to them again when things maybe aren't going so well.

perfectly natural

would agree you always love them, just might not like them very much some times

I always love both of them, I don't always love both of the EQUALLY - in fact I rarely love both of them equally.

I find DD more challenging sometimes because she reminds more so much of myself and always in the finger pointing-I'm so right- I'm 5 and I know everything-way.

Other times DS drives me to distraction because he is a Boy Toddler.

My DS1 is the worst bits of DH and I - the drama, the 'I'm always right' and the opinions

DD is very easy going, but a complete airhead which can be VERY irritating - she has no concept of time, and lives on a completely different planet to the rest of us.

Both are lovely, but can be hard to like at times, in their own way.

DS2 is only 6 months, so perfect atm!

They're all so different so yes. Would be harder if they were more similar I think.

I don't think its a 'love thing' you're feeling. There are definitely times one child might be more challenging than another at any given time and it might be hard to understand or cope with - I think thats normal. I think you always love your children equally. My 3 year old DD is driving me potty at the moment (over the last few weeks) with her bad behaviour and whinging but doesn't mean I love her any more or less - we're finding it hard to get on a times. Love her to bits though.
