Constant screaming!

My 4mo DD has learnt a new hobby - screaming! She has been blessed (🙄) with a naturally loud voice that she definitely got from her dad's side of the family. She's begun to shout at every opportunity and I can't help but feel like I'm going stir crazy because I can feel my brain shaking everytime she does it. I'll break eye contact for 5 seconds and she's off shouting again! Please tell me it's just a phase 😩 my DS was a very chill baby and so I'm not used to this.

My DD 5 months is exactly the same and I know what you mean about it being so loud it makes your brain shake!! I think for our DD part of it is frustration at her not being able to do what she wants like sit up etc. I like that she’s found her voice but feel like I’m going deaf 😂🙈

@attillathenun yep definitely going deaf here 😂 I can understand the frustration perspective but DD is doing it even when she is enjoying herself! She does seem to get bored very quickly but there's only so many activities you can do with them at this age 😩

Yep, totally normally and - thankfully - just a phase.

Mine sounds a bit like a dinosaur...

Another one with a screaming demon baby - a cross between a chicken and a velociraptor! She'd literally shriek with joy, especially first thing in the morning when we'd take her into bed with us for a little extra peace! Ideal.

@soundsystem @SomeoneElseEntirelyNow love the animal comparisons 😂 DD is probably a dinosaur that managed to catch a hairball in their throat 😬

Mine does this at 9.5 months! She is just a very vocal baby. It tends to be a happy sound though and people are always commenting what a happy baby she is so we find it funny now! Agree it is totally deafening at times though! 😂
