On a related note, did anyone else have a copy of Struelpeter (sp?) as a child? My parents didn't need to tell me not to do things, as this book of little stories was quite specific enough on what not to do, for example Little Johnny Head in Air didn't look where he was going and fell into a pond and drowned, Little Johnny Suckathumb got his thumbs cut off by the big scissor man when he didn't stop sucking his thumb, another little girl didn't eat her dinner for a few days and died of starvation. Lovely moral tales!
Am sure there were lots more in this vein too, but I can't remember any more. Am sure the book can't be as bad as I remember though - does anyone else remember it?
