Snacks for 12 month old?

DD is nearly 1. Currently has a bottle of milk in the morning and one at bed time. Meals are usually--

Breakfast:
Toast with peanut butter, plus fruit
Yoghurt and fruit
Porridge with fruit
Cereal and fruit

Lunch is:
Sandwich or small wrap (usually cheese as she absolutely loves it!)
Cucumber/tomato/pepper
Fruit
Rice cakes or some baby crisps

Dinner is whatever we are having:
Spaghetti Bolognese
Mild curry and rice
Fish cakes
Lasagne
And so on, followed by more fruit and always a yoghurt.

She recently dropped her afternoon milk (has a cup with, or just after, lunch)

It sounds silly but because she already has toast, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, veggies etc with meals, I'm stuck on what to give her for snacks!

I should add, she's going through a growth spurt so is usually complaining in between meals and seems to be hunger. What can I offer in for snacks?

Banana bread
Egg muffins, whisk egg, pour into muffin cases on top of cheese, ham, whatever else is in fridge, bake for about fifteen minutes.

Fruit muffins, blueberry etc.

Sometimes just a biscuit, kiddilicious one if out and about.

Flap jack.

Bread sticks with dip of some sort.

My fussy eater website has lots of snack ideas even if not a fussy eater...!

Banana bread is a good shout.

I've tried her with homemade fruit muffins and she throws them out and pulls a face 😂

I'll give breadsticks a whirl as well 👍

There's some sample menus, including snack ideas in this guide from the Caroline Walker Trust.

Some other things to try are scotch pancakes, you can freeze them quite well.

Peeled apple wedges with smooth peanut butter.

Cubes of cheese with cut up cherry tomatoes or grapes.

Hummus and baby bread sticks

Mini Savoury Muffins

Scottish Oatcakes with cream cheese and cut up grapes or cherry tomatoes.

My DC also loved Cheese Straws which keep quite well in an airtight container.

DD loved bit too, so a few little things like raisins, cheese, bread sick, veg, ham. Just a little bit of whatever was in the fridge.

Scotch pancakes and cheese straws sound good -- now just need to get my hands on this elusive flour Grin

And oatcakes with cream cheese will definitely be worth a try.

I'll have a look at that site later tonight. Thank you.

We often make 2-ingredient banana "pancakes" with just a mashed banana and 2 eggs. DS loves banana and practically inhales them Grin
