What snacks do you give your 17 month old?

I still give her like the baby biscuits and rice cakes and crisps as feel they are abit better than any other but is there anything not baby related she can have that isn't to fill off suger? She doesn't eat ham or cheese on there own but happy has like a toasie or cheese wrap so nothing like that also cucumber she's kinda went off she loves fruit but I always give her that with like breakfast lunch etc so she also gets plenty off that! Bread sticks with a bit of hummus, peanut butter on crackers, cream cheese on crackers.

I like the Mamas and Papas sleepsuits in multipacks, which wash incredibly well, as well as coming in a variety of cool designs. You can also rely on M&P to have loads of unisex pieces, foregoing the shades of baby pink and blue you so often see at other brands.
Marks and Spencer’s are also good. They can be washed and tumble-dried a zillion times and always soft. Plus, there’s always one coloured popper so you know where to start fastening from. Clever.

Snacks for 15 month old DS are usually a combination of:
Grapes
Blueberries
Peanut butter toast
Homemade scotch pancakes
Greek yoghurt
Pepper or cucumber sticks
Occasional biscuit like nice or milk biscuits.

He could probably do with more variety.

Mine is 22m but mostly eats the same snacks as when she was your child's age...but most of her snacks are fruit to be honest. Mine won't eat 'normal' cheese but she will eat stuff like baby bells and cheese strings and she will eat cheddar and mozzarella if they're grated. She will also dip carrot sticks into hummous but she doesn't eat the carrot sticks really just the hummous! Toast with various toppings (peanut butter, Marge, jam, cream cheese, marmite, hummous...). Quorn picnic eggs and cocktail sausages.

I have an 18 month old also. We have rice cakes, raisins, satsuma, ham, Bear Paws which is a jelly looking sweet but just pure fruit, Ella kitchen stuff like carrot wotsits, yoghurt, home made low sugar banana muffins.

She could eat constantly if I let her and she always goes to the cupboard with her bowl and screams for more!!

MeadowHay · 01/05/2020 21:00

@Jfoz22 mine too but only of sweet and/or unhealthy things. However me and my husband just read 'My Child Won't Eat' now she's older and even fussier, and the pediatrician who wrote it advises giving them food whenever they ask. We've been doing it for the last two weeks and I swear I'm already seeing results, it's worth a read.

@MeadowHay I might take a look at that book. I worry that her portions are too big as she always asks for more. She's becoming more fussy with food and has melt downs if she can't get it on her spoon lol
