Tommee tippee steam steriliser

Hi everyone
First time mum here so probably asking a really silly question!

We were gifted a tommee tippee steam steriliser- although we’re currently breast feeding DH would like to give one bottle of expressed milk a day, which is fine by me. I’m not ready to do any more than that yet! But I think getting her used to a bottle is a good idea for when I do go back to work later in the year!
So I set it up followed the instructions but everything seems really wet when it’s finished and lots of water droplets all over / in everything the bottles, teats etc. Is this right? Do I need to remove them straight away to avoid this or have I done something wrong?!
I thought the bottles would be dryer when removed; and obviously drying off with something defeats the object of sterilising them!

Any help and advice most welcome!

The water is sterile, try not to worry, I was a bit concerned to start with. Just put the milk on the bottle do it up and towel dry the outside but not the teet.
Also, you don't need to sterilise breastmilk bottles, hot soapy water is sufficient as I was told in January, on here 6 months after exclusively expressing to feed Blush

Ah ok thank you! Just seemed a bit strange being so wet still!
Oh ok I didn’t know that either thought you had to sterilise all bottles?
I feel a bit emotional about hubby giving her a bottle - even though I always said that’s what we would do! I just hope she still wants to feed from me after having a bottle!

OP how old is your DC?

My husband also wants to give some expressed bottles to our 6 week old, but I don't want to yet as 1) I love feeding him and I'm being greedy lol and 2) If I miss a feed I get very engorged so I'm having on a bit :)

I've never exclusively bf. My DS was in hospital and tube fed formula till my milk came in enough to feed him and as he was prem he was very sleepy and BF tired him out so i continued to express milk for him and feed him by bottle for about 8 weeks i think. Now he can take a full feed from the breast (4.1 months, 3 months corrected) but he is used to both breast and bottle as my DP likes to feed him too. To avoid engorgement just express milk when your LO is being fed by DP.

My DS prefers the breast, esp now he's teething. Rejects the bottle sometimes. I think he likes the comfort of a BF.
