Not sure if this is the right place to post but I'm a single mum off two children DD (8) and DS (6). My little boy has adhd, behaviour problems and possibly asd.

Recently my little boy has come obsessed with his willy and won't leave it alone he constantly holding hisself and today while on our walk a lady said I think your son needs the toilet 🙈. I asked him to leave it alone but say his willy annoys him. He is always fiddling with it and as he calls it his big willy he feels the need to pull his pants down and show us.

How can i get him to stop? Super worried he's going to pull his pants down in public or at school when he goes back. He's doesn't seam to understand its wrong. I've told him it's not a nice thing to do and if he wants to play with it he can do but only when he's in his bedroom other people doesn't want to see it.

I think all boys go through this stage.

I baby sat a 5 year old, had looked after him since 6 months old, and he would always have a hand on his willy, mum says my brother did too.

Just keep saying that it's not wrong to explore himself but it should be done in the privacy of his room and that he shouldn't expose himself to others this way he'll learn privacy without thinking his body is weird.

If it helps little girls do it too.

I think it's normal at this age. My DH coaches junior cricket (ages 6-8) and they are all stood with hands down their shorts and fiddling for most of the hour long session Grin.

Thank you I don't think my little girl ever did it not that I saw anyway. I will try and ignore it and hopfully it will stop

It's normal. My 7yo was terrible for this. Well, he still is, but years of repeating 'hands out of trousers at the table!' and 'go do that in your room not here' have finally started to sink in a bit.

My little boy is 3 and the other day he had pulled his foreskin that far back i thought there was somthing wrong with his Willy 🙈
He is constantly messing with it and touching it

My DD is just as bad with her bits but shes a little bit more discreet!

With both i ignore it or tell them if they want to mess then go to their bedrooms. I do have to tell DS to leave it alone as he will casually sit watching telly and flicking it 🙈

What's worse is the first time it happened i was ready for ringing the doctors i never knew small boys could do this with their bits!
