2 year old swollen tummy

My son all day, every day has a swollen tummy. He's recently had a full blood count to rule out anemia. His stomachs swollen, it's not hard to touch though and recently he's been crying out and pushing at it. The other night he projectile vomited all night and crying bent over holding his tummy? Please someone advise me, I don't want to waste doctors times especially in the current situation but this is my baby boy. He comes and goes from constipation but generally will go every day. Im frustrated and especially when nobody listens to you or supports you. Maybe I'm being crazy but it's my baby.

Thank you for any comments.

I'm absolutely not a medic, but it sounds like his constipation could be bad again. Does he get any smears in his pants, even though you say that he poos every day?

Call your doctor. It's not wasting their time. It's really important that if your child is ill you seek medical advice. See the pinned thread at the top - NHS are saying exactly this.

He could still be constipated even if he is going. I learnt this the hard way with DD. She was going but was severely constipated, took a while to get her cleared.

If his stool is watery it could be a sign of overflow from constipation especially if he’s vomited.

Avoid foods that are likely to back add to constipation (eggs, excessive meat/white carbs) ensure he eats plenty of flush though foods (fruit, veg,Weetabix, loads of fibre, fruit juice, smoothies, yoghurt, purees) and plenty of water (or squash)
There is over the counter stuff called lactulose that your local chemist might be able to give you (depends on the age of child as to what options there are) which will soften up the stool (poo) by allowing more water to be absorbed into the bowel. It is very important that he drinks plenty of water with lactulose as its easier to become dehydrated.
If it's not fixed or dramatically improved after a few days of dietary changes then definitely make an appointment to see the GP (and ask them about the lactulose - they are usually happy to give it out on prescription)
Good luck & hope he improves OP
