Settling in the early morning

Hi all, looking for some advice as to what best to do!

DS is 7 weeks old and has started to form a bit of a routine on a nighttime and through to morning. DH will feed him between 9-10 and get him down between 10-10:30. Currently DS wakes and has a little cry or gurgle or mumble from about 3:30 onwards. I'm by his side but notice he doesn't actually wake up or open his eyes. Sometimes he does it for a few minutes then back to sleep and sometimes it's for half an hour or so. Whichever though he does it consistently with few gaps between from 3:30 - 6:30 when he eventually wakes and wants a feed. I'm awake the whole time so not getting to sleep and I am wondering whether I should just feed him once he makes some noise? Or maybe just a change? I don't want to misread his noises for being hungry and feed him unnecessarily and don't want him to become used to an additional feed if this isn't what he needs. I've been thinking if he was hungry he would properly wake up as he has before?

Very unsure but it's frustrating being up from 3:30 every morning without doing much other than putting his dummy back in and rocking the bassinet a bit?!

Thanks all x

When my LO was that wee I would check if she needed changed and that would inevitably wake her, then she'd want fed and that would be her wide awake for 2 hours. Eventually I learned just to kind of rouse myself enough to know she was ok then go back into a light (sometimes deep!) sleep until she woke properly. Not ideal but it gave me enough sleep to keep me sane. It's easy enough for me to say but just accept these noises for just what they are, sleepy noises, we all make them!

My 5 week old does this, I only feed him if he actually wakes properly as I don’t want to risk fully waking him and him then starting to wake for the day at that time. My DD used to do something similar and eventually just stopped.
