Teething

My nearly 4 month old has cut his first tooth but still miserable and struggling to feed. We've used Bonjela a little but says 6 months +
Anbesol is 5 months +
We have a monkey teething toy but he is still a bit young to work our that it helps even if you hold in his mouth for him.
Calpol helps to settle him down a bit but ideally don't want to use every day. Any advice please?

Some teething granules can be used from 3 months, we bought ours from boots and use the monkey or my finger to give them to DS Smile

Ashton and parsons teething powder really helps my baby girl.
You can get it in boots.
It's really awful seeing them in pain.

Following as I'm in a similar situation. DS is 18 weeks and, while I haven't spotted any teeth, he is almost certainly teething (red cheeks, drooling constantly, chewing anything that goes near his mouth fervently). I've bought that teething giraffe and some teething keys but both seem to bulky and he doesnt quite get how to use them.

@GetTheSprinkles it's horrible isn't it. When your normal tricks can't console them either

He may respond better to your finger than a teething toy. I know you can't sit there with your finger in his mouth all day but when you happen to have a hand free to do it then it can work well if all else fails.

You can get teething mittens which might be worth a try as they don't need to understand how to hold a toy.
