Not put this post on " corona" topic as I'm not sure if it is that, but for a week now Me and my partner have had a bad cough ( youngest childrens had it longer ) eldest just started with it ( no temps) but me and partner have also suffered with headaches for this week and a seriously tight chest , we have woke up with a sore throat with no voice on a morning but then it goes and we get a tight chest , I have just walked up the stairs and laid in bed panting like mad coughing , my heart feels like it's pumping a 100miles per hour but in reality it's not at all. What could this be ? Is it the virus? I have been out once as I have self isolated for weeks now but I needed shopping for my children about a week ago there was hardly anything there so I had to go to my local shop this week for bits to get us by, I've stayed in every since , before you start bashing please understand there was nothing in the local supermarket to feed my kids and that is why I had to then go back out my my local shop and get something for us to eat I don't want to go out I have anxiety and its petrifying me but there's nothing I can do when my children need feeding, I am listening to the rules , No-one has been out only me for essentials.

Could be the virus

You should ask a friend to drop supplies round, order a dominos to be delivered, order food boxes, ask for help on the FB groups, search local shops- many butchers/small shops are doing deliveries for people in isolation at the moment, local milkmen are delivering more than just milk, there should be some options near you. I hope you feel better soon.

That burning lungs feeling is very suggestive of the virus, OP. You and your family need to isolate. If you don’t have a friend or neighbour who can deliver food, contact your local volunteers, who will do this for you.
You also need to get as much rest as you can - difficult with children, I know, but maybe you and DH can take shifts while the other sleeps. Ive got it at the moment (day 6) and I know how scary it is trying to breath with lungs on fire, especially at night. But remember the vast majority of people will recover. I hope you soon feel heaps better.

I@Babdoc it's not my lungs it's like a ball in my chest that makes me cough and gets tight , we're both the exact same dh was up with second youngest last night I let him sleep in them I went for a nap when he woke up , not so bad yet I hope it is the virus I don't want it when it peaks 😭

Some patients do have less typical presentations, and it’s impossible to be certain about yours without testing. But the only safe and responsible option, to protect other people and prevent possible spread, is to isolate until you are better.
Most areas have large numbers of volunteers, so it wouldn't be difficult to get a food delivery to your doorstep. If you have a garden you can at least still get some fresh air.
Hope you’re all soon well again.

Could well be the virus. Could be another typical winter bug. Normal illnesses haven’t just gone away. We’ve all had what I assume are shocking colds in this house for the last two weeks. Yes, we’ve had the minor fever, sore throat & cough but also been extremely snotty and our coughs are productive & not persistent. So I sway towards it just being a typical cold! Never the less, we’ve self isolated bar me giving birth a couple weeks ago!

You sound anxious OP. That’s probably contributing to the tight chest & heart pounding symptoms. If it is the virus, all you can do is stay calm & ride it out. It’s not a death sentence for the majority of usually fit & healthy people. You’ll feel unwell for a while, then recover. Just as you would with anything else. Just make sure to self isolate. Get online food deliveries or a friend/family member to leave a shop on your doorstep.

Feel better soon!
