Difficult decision - anyone in the same boat?

I'm not sure if there's a separate thread for the CV19 issues so apologies if so.

My husband works in a hospital and has direct contact with patients on a daily basis. We have a 3 month old baby and we have had to discuss whether he should temporarily move out. He would stay with his mum who also works in the hospital and they are only 2 streets away from us.

I have considered just trying to keep him the social distance away in the house, but we live in a 2 bed new build and it's not exactly very spacious.

A couple of his colleagues have already sent their children to live elsewhere so that they aren't at risk of catching anything. I know the media are saying that children and babies aren't affected so badly but our girl was born with a bit of a stomach issue and we don't know whether this is classed as an underlying condition. Plus the fact that she hasn't had all her jabs and her immune system won't be developed yet.

He is happy to live away but the thought of not seeing him every day and him not seeing his little girl every day breaks my heart. But if anything should happen to her, that would break my heart more.

Is anyone else going through the same thing and have any thoughts?

DH is a paramedic. We have DD5 and DS 3 months today. I have no idea what to do, we don't really have anywhere else either of us could go ( no space at my DMs and ILs have an immunocompromised child) and its the fact it's for an indefinite amount of time which I struggle with as well as the worry the bond DH and DS have won't be as strong.

Similar position, DH works in retail and DD is 5months old.

We're not not sleeping in same bed, leaving shoes and clothes worn outside in utility room, showering as soon as gets home and I'm disinfecting door handles, light switches etc twice a day 😬

There really isn't a lot more we can do to Porte t ourselves, just being cautious and conscious of any signs of symptoms

Stay safe x

My husband is a doctor and has moved out to a hotel near his hospital (initially self funded but now there’s a group of medics there and the hospital is paying).
We have a 12 week old girl and he did it to reduce her risk of catching anything. He came by today to wave and chat (from 2 metres away!)
He’s planning to stay in away for at least another week, then see how things are going.

Initial plan had been for me to move in with family (after a fortnight of isolation to ensure no infection) to have more support but we’re having to replan due to the lockdown.
