Teething and comfort feeding

Breastfeeding mums - My baby is 6 months and teething. For the last month or so we were getting into a good bedtime/night routine of only feeding twice during the night. He's now waking up crying every couple of hours and I feel the only way to settle/comfort him is to breastfeed him (sometimes for up to 45mins) is this what most breastfeeding mums do while baby is teething? And is it likely once the teeth have broken through he'll sleep better again.

There's a(nother) sleep regression about this time as well.

Sadly, baby sleep often gets worse as well as better.

Can you feed lying down so you can doze?

6 months is the worst sleep regression but when you get through it’s suddenly much better.

Oh really! Just when I think we've got a routine haha. He had been sleeping quite well in his nursery but suppose if I want to get a better nights sleep I could go back to co sleeping.

I just slept with all of mine to make it bearable.
They get to an age (around 6 months or a bit older) where they can just help themselves.

Sorry, I know It's grim but it does make teething and growth spurts easier .

Thanks girls. From what I've been hearing it does seem breastfeeding and co sleeping go hand in hand. I should look at the positive and enjoy the extra cuddles while he's at this age.

I started cosleeping with my ff DD1 at 6 months.

DD2 is 8 months now and hasn’t moved out of my arms yet. In my experience cosleeping goes hand in hand with sleep. And all those lovely cuddles are amazing.
